For notes:

UE/LE Resistance:
5- can lift extremities w/resistance
4- can move extremities above bed with some resistance-weak
3- can move extremities above bed without resistance
2- can move extremities on bed
1- can move digits
0- no movement

What to do when checking EKG strip:
1. Rhythm (irregular/regular)
2. Rate
3. P wave present??
4. Is there a P wave for every QRS
5. PR-interval length

Today, my clinical instructor rocked us! Ms. "L" can attest...one day we will be the "good nurse" as Fidel says.

I learned that different colored IVs mean different gages. WHo never told me this?
18-green
20-pink
22-blue
24-yellow
(blood can only be given in pink/green or larger) fyi

And then I'd like to officially apologize to my nursing friends who suffered b/c i arrived at clinical 1 min late and they had to stay 1 min later all because of me. Needless to say, I'm learning about the repercussions of my actions.
